Walk and Talk Therapy

$150 / session (private pay)

Walk and talk therapy has endless benefits on top of the benefits of traditional therapy. Studies show that exercise can improve your mood, reduce anxiety, improve sleep and increase your ability to regulate emotions.

Walk & Talk FAQ

  • We will start the same way as all clients - we will complete a 15 minute phone consultation to ensure that I am the right therapist for you. After that, we will schedule a virtual intake appointment. Following sessions can be held while walking.

  • Denver weather can be crazy! You will always have the option to change your walk & talk session to a virtual one.

  • For the most part, yes. Unless there is a medical reason that does not allow you to walk for 50 minutes.

    We will walk at your pace.

    Wheelchair accessibility will be accommodated

  • Parents of infants are especially great clients for walk & talk. Bring your tiny human with you (in a stroller).

  • Protecting your privacy is always a top priority, and I take every measure to maintain it during our Walk & Talk sessions. I cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality in an outdoor setting, as there is a risk of encountering someone we know. If that happens, we can easily adjust our route or location, and I will respect your choice to handle the situation in the way that feels most comfortable for you.

  • Wear whatever you are comfortable in for a 50 minute walk. Comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended.

  • Often times when clients are processing trauma, it is more effective to do so in our virtual setting. Many clients alternate between virtual sessions and walk & talk sessions. We can work together to decide what is best.

  • I have a few favorite places that I can share. Denver is full of beautiful parks and trails that we can utilize.

    If you have a favorite place, share it with me! We will work together to find a location that works best for both of us. I am flexible within the Denver Metro area.

We will have a simple 15 minute chat. You can tell me your goals and what you’re looking for in a therapist. I will tell you about myself and my approach to therapy. If we’re the right fit, we will schedule your first appointment!

Intake

During this initial virtual meeting, we will get to talk more in depth about what brought you to therapy, set goals and design your individualized treatment plan.
